ADELE OBSESSION WEEK

Ok so, if you guys didn't know, Adele's new album, 21, came out last month. And I've been listening to it.
And it's amazing. So, asserting my power to influence you over the internets, here's my favorite tracks from the album. Listen to them, and be awed.

Rolling in the Deep:

Someone Like You:

And as much as I love The Cure, their covers are always so much better than their originals (eg Dinosaur Jr, Jack Off Jill, Superchunk)
Lovesong:

So, in conclusion, Adele is amazing, The Cure is amazing, and covers of The Cure are amazing.

NINA SIMONE

Cool typography to one of our favorite songs over at Non Sequitur Radio, Feeling Good by Nina Simone.

Happy Valentine's Day

To all you people in relationships:

To all you single people:

The Beatles apply to everything!

I don't even know how to describe this.

So, as promised earlier today here is the video that had us in hysterics.

I don't even know why the Phillipines would have a contest based on lip syncing but this is awesome.

LARGEST CONCERT EVER

Photo of the largest concert ever. 3,500,000 people gathered for THIS GUY:

This video is deliciously 80s (sorry if you guys get the Larry the Cable Guy commercial on Youtube... I don't know why that guy is famous)
The concert took place in 1994 in Brazil. Apparently they really love the Rod. No one can resist the feathered hair look.

Did you know?

It only takes 7 pounds of pressure to rip your ear off

Beatles Cover Songs

Here's a block I decided against airing, but still thought that our 11-17 listeners (hey mom!) might still be interested in listening to.

I'm working on getting the songs embedded so you don't have to follow links all over creation, but I have a hard time understanding anything that was invented after 1999, so bear with me on the Youtube thing for now.
